The much anticipated first clutch of the year! Ahsoka, our fastest growing acquisition of 2020 laid a whopping 20 eggs! Our new record clutch size here at Star Dragon Herpetoculture! (previous record was Mary Ann’s 16 egg clutch last year.) all of the eggs look wonderfully fertile, no slugs to be seen so far!
We’re super excited about this clutch, as we really have no idea what we’re getting. (besides Conda morphs of course.) Ahsoka is Triple Het for Atoxic (Albino, Axanthic and Toffeebelly), and we paired her with Stripe Speigal, who is 66% Het Toxic (Axanthic and Toffeebelly) and 50% Het albino, so we could have a rainbow! and we’re looking forward to finding out!
Despite being a pretty big girl, (over 350 grams prelay) those 20 eggs took quite a bit out of this first time mom, she lost 45.7% of her body weight, and we’re giving her all the TLC she can handle. She’s eating like the champ we know and love, and will hopefully bounce back great!
